Subject: NARA Meeting This Saturday

Hi Folks,

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, our normal in-person NARA meeting scheduled for this Saturday, April 18, will be replaced by a web-based phone/video conference using free software as described below.
Our program will include brief updates by Sean Grady W1GDY, Director of LC EMA, on the "Current Status of COVID-19 and How HAMs May Help" and by Stan Broadway N8BHL, Ohio SEC for ARES, on the State-wide view from his position.

Bret KD8SCL will serve as host (Net Control) for the conference call.  You should plan to join the conference about 5:30 pm to work through any problems.  Our meeting will then start at the usual time of 6:00 pm.  After you login you will be able to hear the audio and see any video that's put up.  As with a directed net, only one person will be able to talk at a time. The system also has a 'chat' feature that is available at any time.

Here is the login information:
Dial-in number (US): (425) 436-6381
Access code: 584584#
Online meeting ID: bret3280
Join the online meeting:
Note:  For additional assistance connecting to the meeting text Help to the Dial-In number above. Message and data rates may apply.

I suggest you download the " app" for your phone or install the desktop app from their web site.  The apps support both voice and video, but you may want to limit your input to voice only.
If you haven't renewed your NARA membership for 2020, please do so by mail to NARA, P.O. Box 601, Newark, Ohio as soon as you can.

You will receive a draft copy of the minutes from the last meeting from Ron WE8V.  You also can find them at the NARA web site:  Please let us know if you find  errors.
I suggest you keep updated with the CDC website, as well as those from the Ohio Department of Health and the Licking County Health Department.   Be aware and stay safe.

Weldon K8NQ
President, NARA
