Here's a word about web site interaction available to NARA members and other authorized persons.  Some features are not visible without registration and login. 

An Information/Bulletin/Message Board, a Gallery, a Q&A, and a File Manager are all available to use and share amateur radio-related and NARA information.

The Information Board is a dynamic application that allows the sharing of information using a combination of text, pictures, and/or video.  The board also includes a Calendar for posting events.  In order to post on the Board, you must register and be patient while Admin approves your access.  https://n8ara.org/smf/index.php  Once you're setup, you simply login and you have access to all of the features.  A convenient Login/Registration from your Google, Microsoft, or Open ID is available, as well, and bypasses most of the relatively lengthy registration process.  Some permissions will still require setting by Admin.

Where text is not important but pictures and video are important, a Gallery is available to suit that need.  This is typically used for pictoral histories of events.  In order to post on the Gallery, you must register on the Board and be patient while Admin sets any special access.  Once you're setup, you simply login to the Board, select Gallery from the Menu, and you have access to all of the features.  Pictures are subject to approval before being visible to the public viewer.

The Question 2 Answer feature is available to anyone having a verifiable email address.  In order to post a question or answer, you must register/login separately from the Board.

Where larger files may need to be shared or archived, the File Manager serves that purpose.  Uploaders can set an uploaded file as 'public' and then a direct URL can be shared for public viewing.  In order to post on the File Manager, you must register separately from the Board and be patient while Admin approves your access.  A link to the File Manager becomes visible once you login to the Message Board.  Once you're setup, you simply login and you have access to all of the features.

In all cases, registration is pending or limited configuration initially.  This allows the administrator to ensure your permissions are set appropriately.
