BTW... AMBE is an acronym for Active Multi-Band Exciter or Active Multi-Band Excitation

I have one of these devices in my inventory.  It adds the capability of DMR, D-Star, and Fusion without need of a acquiring individual radios and is useful for those folks outside the range of digital repeaters.

"This is an AMBE encoder.  With this you can communicate on the DMR,  D-Star,  and Fusion digital networks, all straight from your computer.    This can be done using free software such as BlueDV or DudeStar."

Operational note:  Be sure to set microphone gain to lowest setting possible by using the DMR Parrot 9990 and similar methods on Fusion and D-Star.  Too much gain may cause distortion and other less desired effects.  The settings will need to be decreased for Fusion and D-Star relative to DMR.  Fortunately, BlueDV provides separate control settings for each of these formats.
