Hi Folks,

The NARA meeting is this Saturday, January 19, at the Red Cross
building, 145 South 30th Street, Newark, starting at 6:00 PM.

For our program this month, Alan Rothweiller KD8TNS will present a
program on "Parks on the Air (POTA)."  Alan is a relatively new ham, but
he has become a very active member of ARES, COOKEN, and a strong
supporter of NARA. He has become very active on HF, especially now with
POTA, which is a web site <https://parksontheair.com/>for "portable
amateur radio operations that promote emergency awareness and
communications from national and state level parks."  Their web site
provides a lot of information to help all hams locate and respond to
those portable operators. I think you'll enjoy the Alan's presentation
and his experiences.

I'm attaching a draft copy of the minutes for the last meeting.   We'll
have a couple of printed copies of the minutes at the meeting.  Please
let me know of any corrections that need to be made.

Please note also that it that time of year to renew your membership in
NARA.  I'm a bit late in sending out the reminders and our set of
information for each of you, but I will get that done soon.
