SKYWARN Spotters,

THANK YOU for attending last week's training session.  I believe we had around ~170 people register for the class which was a GREAT turnout, especially given the short notice on the training.

1) Attached is a SKYWARN reference sheet for you to keep.

2) Please find an updated SKYWARN certificate page https://www.weather.gov/pbz/printskywarn The online winter class will be the last option in the pull down menu.

3) Weather Information Resources: A great, quickly accessible resource can be found here: NWS Jetstream.  Otherwise, here is a top list from Amazon regarding books on weather: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=weather+education&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss

4) Finally, a recording to last week's presentation can be accessed here: https://youtu.be/qd_bBqZ9Ies

If you have any questions or concerns, please forward them to [email protected] or [email protected]

As of today, the next winter training session is scheduled for December 4th via Facebook Live.  This will be the exact same presentation provided last Thursday evening (hopefully without the loss of audio!).  Thunderstorm training should start back up again in February or March, so be sure to check our website and follow us on social media for updates about those events.

Thanks again for your support!
