Hi Folks,

The NARA meeting is*this Saturday, February 16*, at the Red Cross
building, 145 South 30th Street, Newark, starting at 6:00 PM.

For  this month, *Alan Rothweiler KD8TNS *will present a program on
"Parks on the Air (POTA)."  Alan is a relatively new ham, but he has
become a very active member of ARES, COOKEN, CERT, and a strong
supporter of NARA.  He has become very active on HF, especially now with
POTA, which has a web site <https://parksontheair.com/>for "portable
amateur radio operations that promote emergency awareness and
communications from national and state level parks."  Their web site
provides a lot of information to help all hams locate and respond to
those portable operators. I think you'll enjoy Alan's presentation and
his experiences.

Since we had to cancel our January meeting, please refer to the
December, 2018, minutes as we will need to approve them at the next
meeting.  Also, here's a final summary of financial and membership *for
2018*:  47 members, $1663.39 in Checking, and $251.66 in Savings.

Many thanks to those who already have renewed their membership for
2019.  If you haven't done so, please renew as soon as possible by mail
or in person next Saturday.
