Licking County ARES Net

1st & 3rd Wednesday - Monthly at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time)

Primary: 146.88- MHz / PL 141.3

Secondary: 444.5+ MHz / PL 141.3 Hz

Purpose:

  • to provide training for local amateur radio operators in emergency communication procedures, preparedness, and message traffic handling
  • to provide all stations the opportunity to practice their skills
  • to provide all stations the opportunity to test their equipment for proper operation

Severe Weather Net

Primary: 146.88- MHz / PL 141.3

Secondary: 444.5+ MHz / PL 141.3 Hz

Purpose: When activated, the Skywarn net engages local amateurs in Licking and surrounding counties to provide coordinated weather spotting activity. This information is relayed to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH as well as local agencies to manage risk during severe weather events.
