Education & Licensing

Education is a life-long learning process for the Amateur Radio Operator. This is accomplished by participation in self-study, experimentation, local club events, hamfests, forums, and other educational opportunities. Many educational programs routinely occur at NARA meetings.

For those people not yet licensed, there are many self-study options available. Licensing study information.

Technician Class (entry level) license classes are routinely offered by Newark Amateur Radio Association. Be sure to check our calendar for upcoming classes. Courses are typically taught via teleconferencing. Interest in upcoming courses may be directed to any member of NARA or by contacting Earl Paazig, W8BR, at [email protected].
